Cannon Beach

Friday we changed towns – a whole 7 miles ? - down the coast to Cannon Beach. Along the way we stopped and did some putting. I never knew that putting was FREE! Also if you didn’t know – Steve is quite good at golf and he is getting better with his new clubs… which he got by trading my present to him - A lazy boy recliner turned into set of customized golf clubs!

I was on the phone and Steve pulled over at a tavern… so I could have an American HAMBURGER – man was it good, accompanied by an ice cold bottle of Kim Crawford Sav. Blanc – from New Zealand. What I didn't capture in the picture were the HUGE beautiful crashing waves just across the street. Amazing!

We walked around the town and bought a few more things including some nice French wines. And then went back to our room at the Wave motel to debate which really nice restaurant we were going to go to.

Well the view from our room was so unbelievable that we sat on the deck and watched the afternoon turn into night – with a beautiful sunset and .. those bottles of wine. At 10pm we ran out to the local pizza shop – 50 feet down the road and 10 feet around the corner ? !

Our last day on the beach we walked and walked and walked– and then drove down along the coast for beautiful views!

Then it was home for a bbq on our back deck and then back on the planes – Steve to Georgia for a training and me back to Europe for a year but this last week will keep me smiling for a while!
