Christmas Tree Cutting...
It is an annual tradition to head up I-94 towards St. Clair and Port Huron and go inland to cut our own Christmas Tree. We usually forgo the commercial farm and find a family who are selling 'you cut' trees from their back 40. We then traipse into the fields for a LOT of discussion and eventually cut a few trees down.
This year Emma was very into it, telling everyone which tree they should choose. She found some really good trees but ...
...it took a little 'bribery' "Look Emma this one had pine cones that you can paint when you get home' to get her to come around to the final choice for Todd and Tami's tree.
I choose mine striaght away and it was small enough to toss over my shoulder.
As is normal - when it got home it looked a little bit bigger.
